The PCA may be the main attraction for poker players this month. And then once things wrap up in the Bahamas there is only a two week gap before the European Poker Tour continues, this time in France, where Deauville hosts the next leg of the 11th season.
But two weeks? That’s a long time with nothing to do.
Well, we didn’t want to leave you idle during that time, so this is where the new look UKIPT comes in, filling the gaps other tournaments cannot fill with the fifth season, kicking off at the Hippodrome Casino in London, on January 21.
The Hippodrome Casino, in London
The five day tournament features a £770 buy-in and three starting days. In addition to the Main Event there’s a £3,000+£250 High Roller event, as well as the £330 London Cup. What’s more they’ll be cash games around the clock.
But didn’t we just say “new look”? Yes we did.
During the course of the three opening days of UKIPT5 London, each level will be 40 minutes long. Then on day two levels will be increased to 50 minutes long, before the final day plays on with 60 minute levels.
Already some 130 qualifiers have booked their seats. You can do the same by checking out the satellites to UKIPT5 London on the PokerStars client.
The PokerStars UKIPT London festival will run from January 20-25, 2015, attracting the best players from across the UK, Ireland and beyond to London’s West End. For more details about the season opener, and the tour in general, visit the UKIPT homepage.
You didn’t really think we’d leave you with nothing to do, did you?
